Earth Spins Backwards
The planet reverses its rotation. Recorded rounds show the storms reversing direction with it, which means the safe side of a wind hazard is the opposite of the one you learned.
| The banner says | “What if Earth spins backwards?” |
|---|---|
| Hazard type | Wind |
| Where it hits | Any map, whole terrain |
| How to survive | Do not rely on the direction a storm was tracking before the banner — after the reversal, the side you are standing on may be the exposed one. Re-read the map when the reversal hits. |
How the round plays out
- 1.The rotation reverses and the HUD reports it as the scenario starting.
- 2.Weather already on the map reverses direction with the planet — recorded footage notes every storm reversing.
- 3.From there the round plays out with the wind coming from the opposite side, so old cover positions are wrong.
Where it kills you: Whatever position you picked for a wind hazard before the reversal. The hazard itself is familiar; the direction is inverted.
What to do in the 30-second head start
- ›Do not commit to a wind shelter before the banner names this scenario.
- ›Once the reversal is announced, re-check which side of your cover is now exposed.
- ›Assume anything that was sheltering you from wind is now doing the opposite.
If you are already caught out: Move to the other side of whatever you were hiding behind. The same object is cover or exposure depending on which direction the wind is now coming from.
Worst maps for it: Open maps where the only cover has one side — the Golden Gate crossing and Jungle Pyramids.
Surviving is half preparation and half knowing the map — see the map list and the round guide for the 30-second head start.
Other disasters
The Moon Falls
The moon drops toward Earth in stages. The sea first surges in and out, burning chunks fall from the sky, and gravity weakens until loose objects and players start lifting off the ground.
The Sun Disappears
A permanent deep freeze sets in while the power grid fails. The map goes dark and cold rather than being torn apart, so the round is lost to exposure in the open rather than to one big hit.
A 500 m Mega Tsunami
A wave that grows as it approaches and drags players off the coast. The water arrives later than the warning does, so the 30-second head start is the entire survival window.
Earth Enters a Mega Storm
A storm that tracks wind speed as it builds — the HUD climbs toward 150 KM/H — and then starts roping out tornadoes. The banner's own name for the late stage is that the storm never ends.
Earth Completely Freezes
Snow starts falling and the temperature keeps dropping until the oceans freeze solid. Buildings give out from the cold rather than from a wave, so the round is a shelter round with collapsing cover.
Earth Loses Its Atmosphere
Windows break, the wind tears loose everything not fixed, the sun burns without protection and the oceans boil. With no air pressure there is no sound, which removes the usual audio warning.
