The Sandstorm
A dust storm that turns the open ground toxic. The HUD adds DRY LIGHTNING on top — static crackling through the dust and starting fires — so the round is a shelter round with fire outside it.

| The banner says | “What if the ocean vanished?” |
|---|---|
| Hazard type | Wind |
| Where it hits | Alpine Ski Resort (recorded), open maps |
| How to survive | Get inside and stay inside. The recorded prompt is STAY INSIDE, and the ground itself is described as too toxic to step on, so a roof matters more than a route. |
How the round plays out
- 1.Dust rolls in and the stage text reads DRY LIGHTNING: static crackling through the dust and igniting fires.
- 2.The ground becomes toxic to stand on, so running between buildings costs health even before the fires spread.
- 3.The fires started by the lightning keep burning through the round, which is what makes staying put inside the only stable answer.
Where it kills you: Any open ground, and the gaps between buildings. Players die trying to move to a better shelter once the dust is up and the fires have started.
What to do in the 30-second head start
- ›Pick a building and commit during the 30 seconds — STAY INSIDE is the whole strategy.
- ›Do not plan a route that needs street time once the lightning starts.
- ›Watch for fires near your building: the round adds them, so the shelter can be lost from outside.
If you are already caught out: Get into the nearest interior, even a poor one. Crossing open dust to reach a better building is how this round kills.
Worst maps for it: Alpine Ski Resort (the recorded map) and other open maps with long gaps between buildings.
Surviving is half preparation and half knowing the map — see the map list and the round guide for the 30-second head start.
Other disasters

The Moon Falls
The moon drops toward Earth in stages. The sea first surges in and out, burning chunks fall from the sky, and gravity weakens until loose objects and players start lifting off the ground.

THE SUN DISAPPEARS
A permanent deep freeze sets in while the power grid fails. The map goes dark and cold rather than being torn apart, so the round is lost to exposure in the open rather than to one big hit.
A 500 m Mega Tsunami
A wave that grows as it approaches and drags players off the coast. The water arrives later than the warning does, so the 30-second head start is the entire survival window.

Earth Enters a Mega Storm
A storm that tracks wind speed as it builds — the HUD climbs toward 150 KM/H — and then starts roping out tornadoes. The banner's own name for the late stage is that the storm never ends.

EARTH FREEZES OVER
Snow starts falling and the temperature keeps dropping until the oceans freeze solid. Buildings give out from the cold rather than from a wave, so the round is a shelter round with collapsing cover.

The Atmosphere Disappears
Windows break, the wind tears loose everything not fixed, the sun burns without protection and the oceans boil. With no air pressure there is no sound, which removes the usual audio warning.
